DESIGN

Inspired by the Ridge

My shop overlooks Taylors Ridge in the mountains of Northwest Georgia and has often provided inspiration and relaxation. In the early days of T.Kell Knives the forge was outside under a simple lean to. I would take breaks from the ringing of the anvil to enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise crest over Taylors Ridge. Many of our early videos even capture glimpses of the ridge in the background. Taylors Ridge holds a special place in my heart.

Built for Skinning and Everyday Carry

The Taylors Ridge was initially designed as a skinning knife and quickly became popular for EDC as well. Cut, skin, chop, slice, pry, split wood, anything you need to do, this blade can take it and come back for more. It features a drop point profile with a deep belly to maximize every stroke when skinning, while the higher grind allows for more detailed and thinner slices during food prep. The more aggressive drop point adds capability for protection and self defense when needed. As another true do all blade from T.Kell, the Taylors Ridge has been pushed hard in the woods and on the streets and still stands as one of our most trusted original designs.

Strength, Balance, and Durability

Featuring a full tang blade the Taylors Ridge delivers extreme durability and holds a terrifyingly sharp edge. The 1.5 inch wide, 3.5 inch long blade has a deep belly that gives you more cutting edge per stroke. The EDC grip is designed to lock your hand securely to the knife, and the balance sits perfectly in the front finger, making it comfortable to use for long periods without fatigue. for even longer grip try one of our EDC extended grips.
