Sheath Clips That Match Your Blade and Your Belt

A belt clip decides how your knife rides, how fast it clears the sheath, and how little anyone else notices it. Every knife sheath clip here mounts to the hole pattern T.Kell builds into our kydex sheath line, so you can switch a vertical setup over to horizontal carry, or take a belt rig down to pocket carry, with a screwdriver and a few minutes of bench time. Run a metal belt clip when you want the sheath pulled tight against a belt, or switch to a soft loop when you want the sheath to flex with your waistband and sit lower under a shirt.
Our veteran-owned family team builds high-quality knives and sheaths by hand, and the clips we stock are the same ones we run on our own gear. Stainless steel hardware, clean holes, and a low profile body keep the clip out of your way while the blade stays exactly where you put it. Pair one with a fixed blade knife from T.Kell Knives.

Find the Belt Clip Setup That Fits Your Carry

Everyday Carry

A knife sheath clip sized for everyday carry keeps a small blade tight to the waistband and out of sight under a shirt. A deep clip drops the sheath below the belt line for pocket carry, while a standard metal belt clip keeps the handle high for easy reach.

Best For: Everyday carry, pocket carry, and daily utility work
Focus: Low profile fit, fast draw, and comfort against the body
Key Features: Stainless steel or polymer clip bodies, standard eyelet spacing, and the IWB ONLY Vertical Plastic Belt Clip for inside the waistband setups
Benefit: A carry setup you forget about until the moment you reach for the knife

Hunting and Field Use

Field carry puts weight and movement on a sheath all day, so the clip has to hold through brush, packs, and layered clothing. A hunting knife or larger fixed blade rides better on a wider clip or a threaded loop that spreads the load across the belt.

Best For: Hunting, camping, and outdoor gear setups
Focus: Hold strength, durability, and secure retention under movement
Key Features: Soft Loops in a textile strap style, wide-body metal clips, and Discreet Carry Concepts Clips for a tight hold under layers
Benefit: A sheath that holds its place through brush, pack straps, and a full day on foot

Duty, MOLLE, and Pack Carry

Duty belts, plate carriers, and packs all use different attachment points, and a clip that works on a dress belt will not always work on webbing. MOLLE hardware lets the same sheath ride next to mag pouches and holster attachments without changing the sheath itself.

Best For: Duty carry, plate carriers, packs, and vehicle setups
Focus: Attachment flexibility, angle control, and staying clear of other gear
Key Features: MOLLE clip options, the T.Kell Vertical Multi-clip for angle changes, and the ULTICLIP Belt Clip for high-tension hold
Benefit: One sheath that moves between a belt, a pack, and a carrier without a rebuild

Frequently Asked Questions

Start with the holes. Most kydex sheath bodies use standard eyelet spacing, and the mounting hardware has to line up before anything else matters. After the holes, look at material and thickness. A stainless steel clip gives you tension and durability that a thin plastic clip cannot match over years of use. A lighter clip keeps a small sheath from feeling front-heavy on a belt.
Then, match the clip to your belt and your blade. Belt width, waistband thickness, and how deep you want the sheath to ride all change which clip is the ideal choice. A wide metal belt clip holds a heavier fixed blade knife steady, and a narrow kydex clip keeps a small everyday carry blade close and quiet.

These clips are set up for T.Kell sheaths, including our kydex builds and our Delta Leather line. They mount with the same screws and eyelets we use across our sheath work. If the sheath came from us, the holes will line up.
Many of these clips also fit sheaths and holsters from other makers that use standard eyelet spacing, so a clip can work on a leather knife sheath or a kydex sheath from another brand. Measure the hole spacing on your sheath first and compare it to the clip you want. When the spacing does not match, a soft loop is the more forgiving loop option because the strap threads around the belt instead of bolting flat to the sheath.

A belt clip hooks over the belt and comes off without unthreading anything, which makes it the fastest option for a knife you take on and off through the day. It also gives you the easy reach that matters for a working tool, since the handle sits high and clear of the waistband.
A belt loop or soft loop threads around the belt and snaps or screws closed, usually as a textile strap or a leather strap. That setup rides lower and quieter, flexes with your body for better comfort, and hides a larger blade under a shirt more cleanly than a rigid clip. Plenty of carriers keep both on hand and swap the hardware depending on the day, the clothing, and the knife.

Yes. Horizontal carry works well for a small or medium blade worn at the appendix or behind the hip, and the T.Kell Vertical Multi-clip lets you change the mounting angle without drilling new holes. Length is the limit here since a longer sheath running flat across the waistband will print more and dig in when you sit.
Pocket carry uses a deep clip that drops the sheath far enough into the pocket to hide the handle below the hem. The ULTICLIP Slim 3.3 is built for exactly that, and it is how a fixed blade can carry as discreetly as a pocket knife while still drawing clean. Check the length of your sheath against your pocket depth before you commit, because a sheath that sits too high will shift every time you move.

Current delivery time is listed on our shipping policy page, and most accessory orders move out quickly since clips ship separately from custom knife builds.
If you have questions about a specific clip working with your sheath, send the hole spacing and the sheath style to our contact page before you order and we will point you to the clip that fits.
