DP-1

The DP-1 is a knife built on legacy, meaning, and craftsmanship. Inspired by Donald Pace, my father-in-law and a man known for faith, integrity, and unwavering strength, the DP-1 represents far more than daily utility. The first DP-1 he carried was hand-ground specifically for him, and throughout his battle with a brain tumor it remained a trusted tool he relied on every day. To honor his life and character, we engraved his actual signature onto every DP-1 so his name and spirit continue forward through the work of our hands. This production run allows others to carry not only a reliable EDC blade but a piece of a man whose example shaped our family. The DP-1 stands as a reminder that the tools we carry can hold meaning, memory, and legacy, making it a knife worth owning, using, and passing down.

A Knife Born from Legacy

The DP-1 is named after my father-in-law, Donald Pace, a man defined by integrity, resilience, and unwavering faith. He led by example in every area of life, showing humility, strength, and devotion to his family. The very first DP-1 he carried was one I hand-ground specifically for him, and it quickly became his trusted everyday companion. As his health declined from a brain tumor, he continued relying on that knife daily, even as his abilities faded.

Honoring a Life Well Lived

When he reached a point where he could no longer sign his name, we pulled his signature from his old mortgage papers and engraved it onto each DP-1 blade. This ensured his name and legacy would live on in something meaningful, functional, and enduring. Every time we show him the knife today, even through the challenges of his condition, he expresses pure joy knowing a piece of his story will be carried by those who value craftsmanship and significance.
