The FMF Field Knife is a purpose-built survival and combat blade. Building on the success of the Mercenary in the SERE Series, the FMF introduces a survival-focused design with a clip point bowie blade, diamond tip reinforcement, and exceptional balance. Tough, nimble, and capable of handling every task demanded in a SERE environment, the FMF stands ready as a dependable field partner for anyone facing the harshest conditions.

SERE: Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape is a training program, best known by its military acronym, that prepares U.S Military Personnel, U.S. Department of Defense civilians, and private military contractors to survive and "return with honor" in survival scenarios.

The SERE line of blades started with the now incredibly popular Mercenary. The Mercenary was created to fill the need for a fast, well balanced, full handled, and capable combat blade. Like the need that drove the design of the Mercenary. We recognized a need for a combat blade, but this time with a bend toward survival, the ultimate field knife built for exactly what the rigors of SERE are. From that need was born the The FMF. We started with a clip point bowie style blade and used our famed diamond shaped tip for incredible strength with insane piercing ability. The balance points on all T.Kell blades have been thought out and perfected and the FMF does not disappoint. For a big blade it feels super fast and nimble while retaining the strength of .165 thick blade. Survival scenarios may require you to chop, slice, stab, prep game, start fires, defend your fort, or fight your way to freedom. The FMF was designed to be your sidekick when SERE is your mission.

The FMF Field Knife, is the newest blade in the T.Kell SERE Series. Rooted in the demands of real-world missions, the FMF is built to support those who rely on their gear for survival. Its purpose is simple and serious: to perform without fail when survival, evasion, resistance, and escape are the mission.

The SERE Legacy

SERE training prepares military personnel, defense contractors, and other operators to survive extreme conditions and return with honor. The FMF follows the lineage of the SERE Series that began with the Mercenary. The Mercenary was created to answer the need for a fast, well-balanced combat blade with a full handle and serious capability. Designed by Tim Kell, a USMC veteran, with input from a Bronze Star Army Ranger, the Mercenary set the tone for the series. The FMF continues that mission but shifts its focus toward survival.

The FMF is a combat-capable field knife that could endure every phase of SERE. Starting with a clip point bowie profile and reinforced with T.Kell’s diamond-shaped tip, the blade offers extreme strength and devastating piercing ability.
